    Hearing Order 07-11C & 14-02: Discretionary Transfer of Cases to Tribal Court

    Through this order, the Wisconsin Supreme Court seeks to advise petitioners and interested persons of the status of two separate administrative rule petitions that both relate to Wis. Stat. § 801.54, governing the discretionary transfer of cases to tribal court.

    Hearing Order Issued: March 17, 2015
    Disposition: A public hearing will be scheduled for fall of 2015. Once a date is determined, the court will issue a scheduling order.

    Final Orders

    Order 14-01: Crime Victim Privacy

    The Wisconsin Judicial Council petitioned the Supreme Court to create Wis. Stat. § 809.86 requiring the use of initials in appellate briefs and in appellate court decisions to protect the identity of certain crime victims whose names may appear in searchable documents posted on the Wisconsin Supreme Court and Court of Appeals access website.

    Order Issued: March 2, 2015
    Disposition: Amendments effective July 1, 2015

    Order 13-11A: Pro Hac Vice Applications

    The court moved to amend (SCR) 10.03(4)(b)2. to permit electronic filing and payment of fees for pro hac vice applications. The amendment comes after the court approved petition 13-11, which sought to increase the fee for pro hac vice admission.

    Order Issued: March 6, 2015
    Disposition: Amendment effective March 6, 2015
