    Kenneth V. Hallett Joseph D. MastersonKenneth V. Hallett, Harvard 1980, has been named chair of the national corporate services practice group at Quarles & Brady LLP. Joseph D. Masterson, Harvard 1978, has been named chair of the corporate services practice group in the Milwaukee office. Hallett focuses on securities law, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance matters. Masterson focuses on corporate governance, public securities offerings and compliance, internal investigations, and general corporate and limited liability company matters.

    Michael D. Rust, Marquette 2006, has become the executive director of the Winnebago Conflict Resolution Center Inc., Oshkosh.

    Steve Schlitz, U.W. 1993, has joined Weld, Riley, Prenn & Ricci S.C., Eau Claire, practicing in insurance defense and civil litigation.

    Jon P. Axelrod, U.W. 1968, has been elected president of the Fellows of the Wisconsin Law Foundation. The Fellows organization was created to honor State Bar members for significant legal achievements and leadership in their communities. Axelrod is a partner and member of the litigation practice group in the Madison office of DeWitt Ross & Stevens S.C.

    Geoffrey Dowse, U.W. 1977, has been appointed a Kenosha County judicial court commissioner, presiding in small claims, traffic, and family law matters.

    Emily LongEmily Long, U.W. 1998, has been elected to the management committee at Weld, Riley, Prenn & Ricci S.C., Eau Claire. She works in the firm’s family law, criminal defense, and frac sand, mining, and minerals sections.
