New Hires, Promotions, Partners
Eric A. Baker, Michigan 2002 cum laude, has joined Boardman Law
Firm LLP, Madison, as an associate and focuses on general and commercial
litigation. He previously practiced in Washington, D.C.
Two attorneys have joined the intellectual property law firm of
Boyle, Fredrickson, Newholm, Stein & Gratz S.C., Milwaukee.
Keith L. Baxter, Georgetown 1984, is a shareholder, and
Kirk L. Deheck, Marquette 2003, is an associate. Baxter
previously was with Quarles & Brady. Deheck previously was with
Ziolkowski Patent Solutions Group.
Duffy Dillon, U.W. 2000, has become a shareholder in
the Janesville office of Brennan, Steil & Basting S.C. and
concentrates in business and other civil litigation, personal injury,
insurance defense, and criminal defense. Matthew M.
Beier, U.W. 2000, has joined the firm's Madison office and
focuses on employment law, insurance defense, bankruptcy, commercial
litigation, and creditors' rights and collections.
Tina Burnside, U.W. 1996, has been promoted to
supervisory trial attorney at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity
Commission's Charlotte (N.C.) District Office.
Ryan C. Cari, St. Thomas 2004, has become a partner
with Heywood, Cari & Anderson S.C., Hudson, and continues to focus
on estate planning, probate, business planning and incorporation, and
Scott S. Cramer, Houston 1980, has been appointed
vice president and general counsel for Bucyrus International Inc., South
Milwaukee. He previously was with Regal-Beloit Corp.
Jason Hanson, U.W. 1998, and Anton
Jamieson, U.W. 1997, have become Dane County Circuit Court
commissioners. Hanson previously was with the Dane County District
Attorney's Office. Jamieson previously was a Dane County assistant
Charlie Domer, U.W. 2002 magna cum laude, has become
a partner in Domer Law S.C., Milwaukee, which practices exclusively in
representing injured workers in worker's compensation cases.
Ryan Kautzer, Drake 2005, has joined Darrow,
Dietrich & Hawley S.C., Sheboygan and Random Lake, as an associate,
focusing primarily on criminal and traffic defense.
Timothy J. Feldhausen, George Washington 2001 with
honors, has joined the corporate practice group in the Green Bay office
of Godfrey & Kahn S.C. and focuses on general corporate matters,
mergers and acquisitions, and private equity. He previously practiced in
the Baltimore-Washington, D.C. area.
Matthew Kim-Miller, U.W. 2000, has joined the real
estate department of Barack Ferrazzano Kirschbaum Perlman &
Nagelberg LLP, Chicago. He previously was with the Orange County,
Calif., office of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP.
Rudolph J. Kuss, Marquette 2005, has joined the Law
Office of Daniel W. Stevens LLC, Brookfield, as an associate, and
focuses on representing homeowners and home improvement contractors.

Timothy Westphal, Marquette 1979, has been promoted
to Waukesha County deputy district attorney. He previously was an

become assistant district attorneys with the county. Brejcha previously
was with the Dodge County District Attorney's Office. Greathouse

Nicholas Whitman, U.W. 1998, has been promoted to
executive director of the National Education Association of New York,
Albany. He previously was director of affiliate services and
Brian S. Kern, U.W. 1997, has been made assistant
general counsel for the Medmarc Insurance Group, Chantilly, Va.,
focusing on general corporate law and insurance regulatory law.

Mary C. Flanner, U.W. 1987 cum laude, Robert
W. Stack, Nashville 1996, and Thomas R. Fahl,

Tom Freeman, Harvard 1977, has established a
consulting practice as an arbitrator, mediator, and consultant in

appointed a court commissioner by Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge

William H. Levit Jr., Harvard 1967, has been
selected to serve on the general counsel panel of the International
Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution. He is a shareholder

Mark T. Ehrmann, U.W. 1985, has been elected to the
Wisconsin Technology Council board, which advises the governor and the

David J. Cannon, Marquette 1960, is the 2006
recipient of the Judge Myron L. Gordon Lifetime Achievement Award,
presented by the Eastern District of Wisconsin Bar Association. He is a

Glenn R. Coates, U.W. 1949, was honored as a 50-year
member of the American Law Institute at its 83rd annual meeting, held in
Washington, D.C. in May.
