New Hires, Promotions, Partners
Pamela D. Alexander (formerly Hart), U.W. 2002, has
joined the Animal Legal Defense Fund, Petaluma, Calif., as staff
attorney, focusing on animal law in academia and practice.
Mark H.T. Fuhrman, U.W. 1993, has been promoted to
shareholder at Bell, Gierhart & Moore S.C., Madison, continuing to
focus on business organization and sales, estate planning and probate,
tax, commercial foreclosures and collections, and real estate.
Joseph J. Connell, Chicago 1971, Darla A.
Krzoska, U.W. 1998, and George Parke III,
Drake 1975, have joined Bosshard & Associates, founded by
Sabina Bosshard, U.W. 1973. The firm, now known as
Bosshard Parke, has offices in La Crosse and Sparta.
Connell, Krzoska, and Parke practice primarily in business and estate
planning; Connell also practices in tax law.
Michael Buxton Devine, Drake 1980, has become an
assistant professor of business law at U.W.-La Crosse and has been
called to the Bar of Ireland as a barrister. He also is of counsel to
Pavelic & Levites P.C., New York City, and a door tenant of
Rougemont Chambers, Barristers-at-Law, Exeter, England.
Micabil Diaz-Martinez, Marquette 1989, has been
promoted to deputy secretary for the Wisconsin Department of Workforce
Development. He previously was division administrator for the Equal

government relations practice groups. He previously was chief legal
counsel for Gov. Jim Doyle.
Kristin M. Cafferty, Marquette 1994, has joined

Christopher A. Duesing, Drake 1995, has joined the firm
as an associate in the Lake Geneva office.
Todd J. Hepler, Nebraska 2004, has joined the
Madison and Poynette offices of Lathrop & Clark LLP as an associate,
focusing on real property, estate planning, trusts, business law, and
Len Kachinsky, U.W. 1978, has been ordered to active
duty as chief of mobilization legal operations at Camp Atterbury, Ind.
He also previously served as an administrative law officer at Fort
Eustis, Va. He practices criminal and traffic defense law in Appleton
and is the Menasha municipal judge.
Roslyn J. Kitchen, Lewis & Clark 1992, has been
named a partner at Cohen Silverman Rowan LLP, Boulder, Colo.
Ian B. Martin, Iowa 2004 with special honors, has
joined the Milwaukee office of Godfrey & Kahn S.C. as an associate
in the real estate practice group.
Geoffrey A. Lacy, Marquette 2002, has joined the
Green Bay office of Davis & Kuelthau s.c. as an associate. He is

Michael D. Rosenberg, Northwestern 1990, has joined
the Milwaukee office of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. as an associate,
focusing on products liability, toxic torts, personal injury defense,
and insurance coverage litigation.
Stephen P. Rypel, Creighton 2000, has joined
D'Arruda & Forrestal Law Offices, Milwaukee, concentrating on
criminal defense. He previously practiced with the Racine and Oshkosh

The Hon. Charles B. Schudson, U.W. 1974, has joined
the Milwaukee office of von Briesen & Roper s.c. as shareholder,
senior counsel, and chair of the appellate advocacy division. Schudson

Nova, U.W. 2004, has joined the Milwaukee office as an

Compensation Ethics: New Rules" and "Drugs and Alcohol in Worker's
Compensation" at the National Worker's Compensation Conference of
Professional Education symposium in Las Vegas. He is with Domer Law
Douglas H. Frazer, Northwestern 1985, has authored
"Dr. Strangelove Unleashes the Secrets to a Certain Widely Held U.S.
Debt Instrument: Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Savings
Bond," published in the Journal of Taxation of Financial

Ronald G. Halvorsen, Tulsa 1968, received first
prize for his play "The Date" at the Snowdance Play Festival in
Joseph S. Spence Sr., Washburn 1989, and
Sheila M. Parrish-Spence, North Carolina Central 1972,
are among coauthors of A Trilogy of Poetry, Prose, and Thoughts for
the Mind, Body, and Soul (AuthorHouse.Com). Spence is an instructor
