Tune in to Madison Magazine TV on Dec. 7: Fiedler Set to Discuss Second Chance Bill

Nov. 26, 2013 – State Bar of Wisconsin President Patrick J. Fiedler is slated to appear on Madison Magazine: The TV Show on WISC News 3, along with Wisconsin Council on Children and Families (WCCF) Deputy Director Jim Moeser on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 9 p.m.

Host Deana Wright interviewed Fiedler and Moeser on the Second Chance Bill (AB 387/SB 308), which would return nonviolent first-time 17-year-old offenders to juvenile court jurisdiction.

Fiedler and Moeser each bring decades of experience in the juvenile justice system to the table. Fiedler is a former judge and prosecutor, and served as the secretary of the Department of Corrections. Moeser has spent nearly 40 years working on youth issues, and currently serves as the chair of the Wisconsin Governor’s Juvenile Justice Commission in addition to his role at WCCF.

This is not the first time Fiedler and Moeser have appeared on camera in support of this legislation. The duo spoke out about the importance of giving juveniles a second chance during an episode of WISC-TV’s For the Record, hosted by Neil Heinen. View the interview here.
