    Many Volunteer Judges Needed for Mock Trial Tournament on March 11!

    Judge- and attorney-volunteers are needed to serve as presiding judges and scoring judges for the Wisconsin High School Mock Trial Semifinal Tournament on March 11.

    March 1, 2017 – The Wisconsin High School Mock Trial Semifinal Tournament will be held March 11 at the Dane County Courthouse in Madison. The State Bar of Wisconsin is seeking more than 20 judge- and attorney-volunteers to serve as presiding judges and around 50 attorney-volunteers to serve as scoring judges for the competition.

    This year's semifinal event has grown to include 24 teams. The semifinals consist of four rounds – two in the morning and two in the afternoon. Morning judges generally need to arrive by 7:30 a.m. for a brief training before the tournament begins at 8 a.m.

    Afternoon judges should arrive by 12:30 p.m. for training before the afternoon rounds start at 1 p.m. Judges will receive access to the case materials and rules of the tournament ahead of time.
