Milestone Celebration: Honoring 50-year Members at Spring Event

Congratulations to the members who entered the profession in 1966! The State Bar is hosting an event to honor their 50-year milestone as Wisconsin lawyers.

Feb. 3, 2016 – This year, the State Bar of Wisconsin is honoring those who joined the profession in 1966: The year TV-series Star Trek and Batman premiered, when gasoline was 32 cents per gallon and Simon and Garfunkel released “Sounds of Silence,” and the year Chief Justice Earl Warren wrote the opinion in Miranda v. Arizona.

Each year, the State Bar honors those members who pass the 50-year milestone in the legal profession at a special event.

In 2016, 165 members pass this milestone; these members should expect an invitation in the mail by early April for the celebratory luncheon. The luncheon is Tuesday, May 10, at the Delafield Hotel in Delafield. A reception begins at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch.

If you know of members who were admitted to the bar in 1966 whose names are missing from this list, please contact Beth Drake at (608) 250-6171 or (800) 444-9404, ext. 6171.
