    Keynote Speaker: Lawyers as Leaders

She is passionate about transforming lawyers into leaders in their communities, and is the founder and CEO of the Planting People, Growing Justice Leadership Institute, which provides leadership development training and career coaching.

Tyner is a public policy/leadership professor at the University of St. Thomas College of Education, Leadership & Counseling in St. Paul, Minn. She recently published the book “The Lawyer as Leader: How to Plant People and Grow Justice,” about becoming an effective agent for social change, and in 2014 gave the talk “Education for Social Change” now available as an independently-produced TED Talk.

Her keynote address marks the second leadership address named in memory of Wausau attorney G. Lane Ware, a former passionate leader of the State Bar.
