A New Look for InsideTrack: Easier to Scan, View on Your Mobile Device

Today’s WisBar InsideTrack sports a new look. Our goal? To get you what you need – quickly – so you can move on to the next task at hand.

Sept. 7, 2016 – We get it. You’re busy. If you’re like most of us, you struggle to manage the amount of information landing in your inbox.

Joyce HastingsJoyce Hastings is communications director for the State Bar of Wisconsin. Reach her by email.

Despite this, we hope WisBar InsideTrack remains a welcome addition to your inbox. Nine years ago, we promised a publication, delivered twice a month, that has context for you – a publication that distills developments affecting your practice and profession.

But nine years is a long time, and it’s time for a remake.

Based on your feedback in a recent readership survey, today’s InsideTrack sports a new look. It is redesigned with these concepts:

    • Easier to scan: Research shows that people remember 30 percent of what they read and 80 percent of what they see. Thus, the new design features images that add visual interest and help you quickly navigate its content. It better showcases the content, making it easier to scan on a small screen or PC.

    • Flexible layout: According to a recent study, nine out of 10 lawyers now use a smartphone for law-related work. The new design automatically changes to fit the device you’re reading on (commonly referred to as a “responsive design”), making it easier to view on a mobile device.

Our goal? To get you what you need – quickly – so you can move on to the next task at hand. Compare it to the old version. What do you think? How does it look? What content would you like to read in InsideTrack? Post your comments below, email me, or call me at (800) 444-9404, ext. 6126.
