CaseLaw Express Delivers Case Law to Your Inbox Weekly: Are You Taking Advantage of This Member Benefit?

CaseLaw Express, a free weekly State Bar email service for members, is a great way to keep abreast of recent Wisconsin Supreme Court and Court of Appeals decisions.

Jan. 15, 2014 – More than 4,000 lawyers, judges, and their support staff subscribe to the State Bar’s CaseLaw Express. This State Bar member benefit lists and categorizes by topic all decisions handed down by the Wisconsin Supreme Court and Court of Appeals during the previous week. Each edition organizes cases by topic, provides direct links to the full text of each decision, and indicates whether a decision has been recommended for publication. Visit the CaseLaw archive for a listing of 2013 cases.

    How It Works

CaseLaw Express subscribers receive an email each Monday listing the previous week’s Wisconsin Supreme Court and Court of Appeals decisions. A fully searchable archive helps you find cases by topic area.

    New Subscribers

CaseLaw Express is free for State Bar members and their office staff. If you wish to grant access to your support staff, you can do so by making them registered users under your name. Log in to WisBar, select the myStaff link in myStateBar and enter your staff information. Once registered, staff can subscribe to CaseLaw Express online.

Members and their staff can subscribe online or contact Customer Service at (608) 257-3838 or (800) 728-7788.

Subscriptions are available to nonmembers for $49 per year. Nonmembers can subscribe online through WisBar’s Marketplace or call Customer Service.

    Already a Subscriber?

Each year, the State Bar asks CaseLaw Express subscribers to reconfirm their interest in receiving this service. This practice ensures we are sending subscriptions to valid email addresses. If you are a subscriber who hasn’t verified your subscription, you can do so upon opening one of your January CaseLaw Express emails. You must verify before Jan. 28 to avoid service interruption.
