    Dec. 21, 2011 – Learn about the effects of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, legal challenges to aspects of health care reform, handling Medicaid fraud, and implementing health insurance exchanges. Don’t miss the State Bar of Wisconsin PINNACLE Annual Health Law Update seminar, produced with the Health Law Section. The live program in Madison on Jan. 27, from 8 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., will be simultaneously webcast. The program also will be offered via webcasts on Feb. 17 and March 14.

    Topics include:

    • Accountable Care Organizations – developmental goals under PPACA, commercial payer and perspective, technology and operational considerations, and Medicare ACO update.

    • Fraud & Abuse: New Enforcement Perspectives – enhanced enforcement activity at the state and federal levels, Medicaid fraud investigations, and strategies and process for fraud prevention and response.

    • Health Insurance Exchanges Under Health Care Reform – administrative developments and state’s response and challenges in implementation.

    • Ethical Considerations in Social Media Use – updates on changing technologies and case law, and special considerations in the health care industry.

    Tuition is $169 for State Bar members and is free for Ultimate Pass holders. The program will be submitted for up to 4.5 CLE credits and 1.0 EPR credits.
