About the program

Government lawyers owe a special duty to their clients but it is often difficult to determine exactly who their client is. Government lawyers also have special responsibilities under the Rules of Professional Conduct that require each government lawyer to think about all consequences before taking action when representing the local government unit. Engage in a discussion with other government lawyers about solutions to these ethical dilemmas.
