2. Resources available
- Contact information for each section’s board roster can be
found on their Web page.
- Listserves
Every section has the option of having one or more listservs for their
members. If you are having trouble with your section’s
listserv, please contact Jim
Behan.
- Section websites. The current offerings on your
section’s webpage aren’t set in stone. If you have a
great idea you’d like to implement please contact Christina Legris.
- Newsletters State Bar staff produce the
section newsletters, both hard copy or electronic format. If
you’ve got questions or concerns about your section’s
newsletter, please contact Deb
Heneghan or Jean Anderson
who coordinates the production of section newsletters.
- Economy of a section
- Who can explain the fee statement? Where do the fees come
from and where do they go? Please contact Salud Garcia who will send you the
most current fees report and answer your questions.
- Need some pointers on understanding the monthly financial reports
you’ve been receiving? Please contact Salud Garcia.
- Strategic planning - What is it? Click here to see the State Bar of

If you’d like to schedule strategic planning for your board,
please contact Salud Garcia.
- Section bylaws and elections
Contact Salud Garcia, who
coordinates the section elections and keeps current copies of each
section’s bylaws.
- CLE Seminars
Section boards who would like to organize a seminar have the choice of
working with the CLE Seminars staff or coordinate the seminar on their
own. Contact Lynne Kroll
in the CLE Department if you want to work with that department or
contact Salud Garcia if you'd
like to do it yourself.
3. Lobbying sections
- Unique considerations/issues – If you’ve got a public
policy issue that you aren’t sure is traditional lobbying, please
contact your section’s lobbyist or Lisa Roys, Director of Government
Relations Department.
- Who is your section lobbyist? What is he/she supposed to do for
you?

Government Relations Department who will tell you who your lobbyist is
and answer any questions you may have.
4. Profile of your section
- Statistical information – Wondering how many members you have
in your section versus number of practitioners in your particular
practice area? Salud Garcia will
be happy to look up those and other statistics for you.
