Illinois

  • Illinois Public Acts: Public Acts are bills that have become law. Most, but not all, Public Acts are incorporated into the Illinois Compiled Statutes.

Iowa
  • Iowa Code: The Iowa Constitution, the Code of Iowa, the Iowa Acts, The Iowa Administrative Code, and the Iowa Court Rules.
  • Iowa State Bar Association: The Iowa State Bar Association is a vibrant, progressive organization that provides Iowa attorneys with the benefits of professional association with their colleagues. Its benefits include continuing legal education, practice aids, interaction with the judiciary and legislature, participation in reform of the law, and news regarding developments impacting the profession.

Michigan
  • Michigan Public Acts: Bills that have been approved by the Legislature and signed into law by the Governor, filed with the Secretary of State, and assigned a Public Act number.
  • State Bar of Michigan: The State Bar of Michigan aids in promoting improvements in the administration of justice and advancements in jurisprudence, in improving relations between the legal profession and the public, and in promoting the interest of the legal profession in the State of Michigan.

Minnesota
  • Minnesota North Star: Government: This section provides visitors with information on state, local, tribal and federal government information and services, as well as more about Minnesota Government and its elected officials.
  • Minnesota State Bar Association: The Minnesota State Bar Association is dedicated to cultivate the science of jurisprudence, to promote reform in the law, to facilitate the administration of justice, to elevate the standards of liberal legal education, to cherish a spirit of brotherhood among the members thereof and to perpetuate their memory.

  • Council of State Governments (CSG): The Council of State Government (CSG) provides general information about the Council of State Governments, a non-profit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to providing information regarding state government issues to both legislators and the public. Of particular note is this site's comprehensive collection of links to home pages of state governments, and its compilation of electoral results in recent state elections.
  • Hieros Gamos: U.S. State Law: This innovative site provides one of the most comprehensive set of links to state-sponsored Internet sites. Sites are organized by state. Within each state, sites are further organized by the type of information that they contain - statutory, regulations, or judicial decisions.
  • National Association of Attorneys General: Fosters interstate cooperation on legal and law enforcement issues, conducts policy research and analysis of issues, and facilitates communication between the states’ chief legal officers and all levels of government.
  • U.S. State & Territorial Laws: This site, from the House of Representatives Internet Law Library, provides links to other sites that make state codes and legal material available.
