The president is the chief executive officer of the association. He or she is a member-at-large of the Board of Governors and presides at all meetings and assemblies of the association and the Executive Committee. The president appoints members to and designates the chairs of all standing committees, and appoints special committees.
The president-elect and immediate past president are members-at-large of the Board of Governors and the Executive Committee. At the expiration of the one-year term of office of the president, the president-elect succeeds to the office of president and the president succeeds to the office of immediate past president.
The chairperson of the Board of Governors is elected from the board membership and is a member-at-large. The chairperson is an ex officio member of the Executive Committee and presides at all meetings of the Board of Governors.
The secretary and treasurer are members-at-large of the Board of Governors. The treasurer also assists the Executive Committee in preparing the annual budget and in presenting it to the Board of Governors.
The officers of the association receive no compensation for their services but receive reimbursement for their expenses.
