    Nov. 11, 2009 – Veterans Day is observed across America each year to honor the past service and sacrifices made by the nation’s nearly 25 million military veterans. But in Wisconsin, Veterans Day 2009 offers an opportunity to look forward to the benefits of a new court program shaped by the state’s legal community and others to respond to the unique needs of combat veterans processing through the criminal justice system.

    Oct. 16, 2009 – State-wide rallies are scheduled for Oct. 19, 22, and 27 in support of the Impartial Justice Bill, Senate Bill 40 and Assembly Bill 65.

    Oct. 12, 2009 – New insights into the operation of Wisconsin’s court system and classroom-ready instructional tools are among the resources middle school and high school teachers from around Wisconsin took home after participating in the tenth annual Judicial Teaching Institute. The two and one-half day event, sponsored by the State Supreme Court, the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the State Bar of Wisconsin, ran from Oct. 8 to 10 at the State Bar Center in Madison.

    State Bar teams with Supreme Court to produce 'Juror Appreciation Month' PSA

    Sept. 9, 2009 – The State Bar has teamed up with the Wisconsin Supreme Court to produce a 30-second Public Service Announcement promoting public awareness of “Juror Appreciation Month” in September. The ad will air on broadcast and cable television outlets in communities across the state through the end of September.
