The Essentials of WisBar.org Search

Doing a search on WisBar.org just got easier. Simply type one or more search terms (the words or phrase that best describe the information you want to find) into the search box and hit Enter on your keyboard.

In response, you will receive a list of webpages related to your search terms, with the most relevant page appearing first. Included in these results is the relevant text with your search term highlighted.

Choosing the right search term

Start with the obvious - if you're looking for general information on ethics, try "Ethics".

But it's often advisable to use multiple search terms; if you're looking for help with Ethics Advice, you'll do better with "Ethics Advice" than with either Ethics or Advice by themselves. And "Ethics Advice Hotline" may produce even better results.

You might also ask yourself if your search terms are sufficiently specific. It's better to search on "Rules of Professional Conduct for Attorneys" than on "Lawyer Rules". But choose your search terms carefully; Google looks for the search terms you chose, so "Rules of Professional Conduct for Attorneys" will probably deliver better results than "As a lawyer what should I do to follow ethic rules".
