Mock Trial

Mock Trial

Bring the legal system and due process to life for your students!

Since its inception in 1983, the Wisconsin High School Mock Trial Program has brought our legal system to life for thousands of students. Using facts and case materials developed by Wisconsin attorneys, students gain a new and deeper understanding and respect for due process as they develop their arguments and build their cases.

Students have the opportunity to:

  • Analyze and prepare a case
  • Present as a witness
  • Argue their assigned role
  • Receive input and feedback from attorneys and judges

You're invited!

Each fall, high schools from across Wisconsin are invited to send students to compete in the annual Mock Trial Tournament. Sign up here.

Each fall, we hold a Coaches Conference for the Mock Trial teacher and attorney coaches to provide an overview of this year’s Mock Trial competition. Read More.

Mock Trial: “I was impressed, even shocked at the quality of the advocacy from all the students.  They did a superb job.”  - Mock Trial judge
