New electronic WisBar InsideTrack replaces print newsletter – expanded focus, increased frequency
After this issue, the State Bar of Wisconsin is retiring Inside the Bar, published monthly for more than 25 years under various titles. Next month, Inside the Bar will be replaced with an electronic newsletter, delivered straight to your inbox – with a new name, focus, frequency, and other benefits of electronic delivery.
While the printed page has served us well, it brings its own barriers. Space constraints and monthly delivery, for example, limit the depth of coverage and the timely delivery of developments affecting your practice and profession. Simply keeping up with the rapid evolution of the law is one of the biggest day-to-day challenges lawyers face.
Beginning in January, WisBar InsideTrack will reach you every two weeks, distilling timely and relevant information in a quick, easy-to-read format. Spend a few minutes scanning it or take your time exploring its breadth of content – from practice management tips to timely insight into legislative, court, and other legal developments.
WisBar InsideTrack will help you:
- spot practice-related trends and analyze the impact of legal developments on your practice
- stay connected with the ever-growing resources on WisBar.org
- get the latest on State Bar services, products, and events developed to help you practice more efficiently and effectively, along with efforts to improve Wisconsin’s justice system, the regulation of the legal profession, and the quality of services provided to the public
“Electronic delivery makes it easy for a reader to email an article to a colleague or respond to an article,” states Amy Dixon, chair of the State Bar’s Communications Committee. “It also gives us opportunities to introduce multimedia, such as video or audio, which means you will get information directly from the information source. Those with mobile devices can access text and recorded material when they want it.”
If you have an email address on file with the State Bar, you will automatically receive WisBar InsideTrack as a membership benefit the end of January at that email address. For the 10 percent of State Bar members who do not have email addresses on file, contact Customer Service at (800) 728-7788, or visit WisBar.org, log on to myStateBar, and add your email address under myProfile. Those without email addresses can access WisBar InsideTrack by visiting WisBar.org.
