What you’ll learn:
Who should attend:
Be ready to draft non-compete agreements that stick
It’s a new world for the litigation and drafting of restrictive covenants since the recent Wisconsin Supreme Court case of Star Direct, Inc. v. Dal Pra, 2009 WI 76 made it easier to enforce non-compete agreements.
Attend this program to learn how employers are likely to use Star Direct, and how employees will try to counter the case.
The Star Direct case is the most important case interpreting Wis. Stat., sec. 103.465 in the last 25 years, and it shifts the balance that has been in place since the Court first announced the four " canons of construction" that should be familiar to all drafters of restrictive covenants and attorneys who litigate their enforceability.
