Margaret Estelle Jorgensen Allen joined the Wisconsin bar in 1929. A native of Michigan, she was the daughter of Emil and Antoinette (Borucki) Jorgensen. She was the sole woman in her law school class and served as a staff member of Volumes 12 and 13 of the Marquette Law Review. Following her admission to the bar, she cofounded the Milwaukee law firm of Allen & Jorgensen with Harry J. Allen (1907-2001), a 1928 Marquette graduate. The couple married in 1939 and later moved to Sarasota, Fla.
