- Antitrust and the Deregulation of Telecommunications and Energy: I will survey, briefly, some of the hot issues in the three areas of substantive antitrust law - monopoly, merger and contracts in restraint of trade. My general goal is to suggest that the issues are very similar in both fields and that there is much to be learned by being attentive to the outcomes accross all the areas. I will end by discussing the emerging issues of relating deregulatory commands of agencies with the traditional doctrines of state action and exemption - express or implied.
