Consider joining our family in Madison, Wis. as a…REGIONAL LEGAL STAFF ATTORNEY This is an in-house litigation position. We’ll rely on you to personally handle or manage complex litigation that involves either the corporation or its insured, including all aspects of civil litigation (trials/proceedings at local, state or federal level, mediation, arbitration, administrative proceedings and appellate work). You’ll provide legal advice in the disposition of claims, and provide advice/counsel to other departments within the company as required. In addition to a Juris Doctor Degree and admission to the Wisconsin State Bar, the ideal candidate is familiar with the rules of professional responsibility for the jurisdiction, presents a competent and professional image, and has demonstrated trial and negotiation experience, including insurance defense litigation experience (equivalent to approx. three years’ practice). Knowledge of electronic file management systems a plus. We also require a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
