'Wisconsin Lawyers Make a Difference' TV series

Vignettes focusing on the key qualities the public values most about lawyers – community involvement and expert advice – began airing in spring of 2004.

This ad, developed for airing during the 2008 Olympics, lists some of the challenges facing society – including threats to our legal rights, natural disasters and domestic violence – and reminds viewers that lawyers are available to help navigate us through life’s important moments and to protect our rights.

This 30-second ad highlights the contributions attorneys in Milwaukee and southeastern Wisconsin make every day by volunteering their expertise to help build their communities and by working for the best interests of clients when buying a home or at other important times in their lives.

Milwaukee County Assistant Family Court Commissioner Lucy Cooper offers guidance about the court system, provides referrals to volunteer attorneys for follow up assistance and other community services, and even offers up hot meals several evenings a month at the Milwaukee Outreach Center.

State Bar Northwoods
This 30-second television spot - airing June 10 - 26, 2005 in central and northern Wisconsin – highlights lawyers' community service statewide.

Jim's Grocery Bag The La Crosse County Bar Association (LCBA) is featured for its efforts to provide food to local school-aged children and their families. The LCBA, which was the first local bar to partner with the State bar to produce a television spot, provides funds to support Jim's Grocery Bag to stock food pantries at 11 local schools in the La Crosse area.

These vignettes aired April through September 2004 on WISC-TV3 and UPN-14 to a potential viewing audience of 645,000.

Fire fighters in front of burning building Attorneys Dean Richards (right) and Lance Grady are spotlighted for their involvement with Delafield's fire department, emergency medical team, and search and rescue dive time. They have responded to more than 2,000 calls for help since 1998.
