Bankruptcy, Insolvency & Creditors' Rights Section

The Bankruptcy Insolvency & Creditors' Rights Section seeks to inform its members about developments in bankruptcy and collection law and to serve the judiciary and the public. The Section publishes a quarterly newsletter and sponsors an educational program annually at the State Bar Convention. New in the year 2000 is an e-mail listserv where Section members can share information about bankruptcy substance and procedure. The Section closely monitors state and federal legislative developments and provides its members with "Supreme Court Scoops" and "Legislative Alerts" for breaking news.

The Section Board meets quarterly. Standing Committees include Eastern District Liaison, Western District Liaison, Legislation and Exemptions, Technology and Public Service. Section members are encouraged to get involved in Section committees and activities.
