CLE Seminars:
Your Leading Source of Information on Wisconsin Law and Practice

The State Bar of Wisconsin's CLE Seminars is the largest provider of continuing legal education in the state. With an emphasis on providing current, relevant, and practical legal information in a convenient and timely manner, the CLE Seminars Division is dedicated to meeting the needs of Wisconsin practitioners for continuing education in the information age.

Using the skill and expertise of volunteer lawyers, the CLE Seminars staff plans and presents 70-80 live seminars annually. State Bar seminars address new legislation and developments in case law, practice management, litigation, negotiation, cutting-edge technology, and in-depth coverage of the substantive areas of law. Through a Build Your Practice (BYP) menu for newer attorneys or attorneys interested in expanding their practices, the annual updates series, and courses covering specialty practice areas, State Bar CLE Seminars provides the CLE that attorneys value.

Service Over Profit

As part of a nonprofit organization, the State Bar of Wisconsin CLE Seminars concentrates on providing high-quality seminars on a broad range of topics at a fair and reasonable cost.

State Bar CLE Seminars is financially self-supporting with all revenues derived from seminar registration fees and course materials/ audiocassettes sales. No State Bar membership dues are used for any purpose connected with CLE Seminars.

Overhead expenses for office and storage space, accounting services, telephone, computer services, and State Bar employees who support CLE seminars also are paid for from seminar registration fees. The contribution of our volunteers and your strong support as customers make it possible for us to remain self-supporting. Our focus continues to be providing high-quality and timely continuing legal education. We have a commitment to meeting the educational needs of Wisconsin attorneys, not to turning a profit.

State Bar CLE Seminars staff knows how the legal profession works. We understand the challenges and pressures faced by Wisconsin lawyers, whether they are time pressures, financial pressures, or the inability to be two places at once. We keep these demands in mind when we plan and deliver our seminars.

Our goal is to make CLE as affordable and convenient for you as possible. We try to offer as many alternatives as possible for you to participate in CLE seminars. Live programs, video replays in locations statewide, telephone and Webcast seminars give lawyers scheduling and location flexibility. CLE Seminars continues to explore alternative delivery systems to ensure that Wisconsin practitioners are getting the CLE information they need, when and where they need it.
