Proficiency in Motions in Limine Can Change the Outcome of a Case

For 25 years, State Bar of Wisconsin PINNACLE and the Wisconsin Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) have partnered to teach trial skills at the Annual Institute of Trial Practice. This year, we are expanding our scope to include pretrial practice with Motions in Limine and Challenging Evidence before Trial. Join us for this in-depth half-day seminar.

Using the same demonstration format as the Institute of Trial Practice, this seminar will be presided over by Dane County Circuit Court Judge and ABOTA member John W. Markson. Attendees will see how experienced trial lawyers craft and deliver motions and will hear from our panelist and presiding judge how different strategies and styles should be applied. Daubert motions will also be discussed.

Course materials will include several sample motions that can be customized for your cases. Several standard motions will be argued and other motions will deal with topics such as reasonable medical expenses; the safe place standard, and non-causal negligence.

Gain insight for strategy, drafting and delivery by watching the pros and listening to in-depth discussion from our distinguished panel.
